Lost River Caverns

Venture into an underground wonderland! Your guided tour will travel the paved and lit passageways of a natural limestone cavern and highlight crystal formations in each of the five picturesque chambers. One of the chambers, the Crystal Chapel, was the site of over 100 weddings. Our gift shop offers unique gifts, souvenirs, rocks, minerals, lapidary tools, and jewelry-making supplies. Also available: the Gilman Museum contains rare fossils, unique minerals, gemstones, interesting antiquities, curiosities, and paleoanthropological items; an indoor jungle garden; a wooded nature trail; gem panning; and a picnic grove with covered pavilion. The Caverns are open daily, all year 9 AM to 5 PM. Extended summer hours: Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day 9 AM to 6 PM. Closed only on New Year’s Day, Easter Morning, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
