Philadelphia’s renowned life sciences and medical community made the city an ideal host for the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) 2024 Anesthesiology Annual Meeting.
Held October 18–22 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, the conference welcomed over 12,000 anesthesiologists, researchers, exhibitors, and healthcare professionals. Attendees explored the latest anesthesiology advancements, exchanged ideas, and connected with industry leaders in a city renowned for medical innovation.

Philadelphia’s history of medical innovation and its world-class amenities made it a standout choice for ASA’s annual meeting. As the birthplace of America’s first hospital and medical school, the city provided an inspiring setting for anesthesiology professionals.

“The CVB’s partnership around life sciences helped us find key speakers and venues to leverage our involvement in the community,” said Kevin Kirberg, Director of Meetings at the American Society of Anesthesiologists. “To do some of that around life sciences, that has been one of our keys this year.”
